With over 25 years experience in Irish Industrial and Commercial sectors he has worked in Human Resources, Training, IT Sales Industrial and Civil Engineering. His first business start up was in 1990 when he established the O’Loughlin Partnership an Executive Search Firm with strong focus on the Life Science Sector ( Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Diagnostics and Biologics). This company is still trading and is a leader in the search for senior technical and management staff primarily for the Chemical and Pharmaceutical sectors in Ireland. Since 1990 he has been involved in developing a number of niche companies involved in Regulatory based training and consultancy services. In 2004 he established PharmaCareers a specialists Career Advisory , Outplacement and Training Company focusing on assisting experienced Scientific, Engineering,Technical Production and Management personnel to transfer from declining industries to the more stable and growing Life Science Sectors.
He is also Director of Life Sciences for the Irish Exporters Association, (http://www.irishexporters.ie/IEA_History.shtml) where he is responsible for the Life Sciences Ireland grouping which is focused on driving export excellence in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry by supporting the following critical business areas:
Logistical Efficiency - promoting and providing access to the latest cost reduction and supply chain efficiency improvement techniques and opportunities.
Material Quality Control – assisting life sciences companies and those serving the industry to keep up to speed in the latest material handling and environmental control methods and standards.
Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
Benchmarking the standard for the industry and promoting its use by all service providers regionally and internationally.
Regulatory Response – providing training and support to enhance the sector’s rapid response and capability to changing regulations and standards
More recently he lead a strategic review of compliance in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical sector leading to agreement with manufacturers in establishing a Code of Practice for Supply Chain Service Providers.
He is also Partner in PPP Contract Engineering, GDP Training Services and REACH TRAINING SERVICES.
Eric Furey

Eric Furey is a Chartered Chemist (C.Chem. MRSC) and has over 27 years experience working in highly regulated Chemical and Pharmaceutical environments in management roles spanning quality assurance, production and human resources. He has been on the Qualified Persons Register ('QP' under the European Pharmaceutical Directive) from 1988. Since 1997, as an independent operator, he has provided training (design and delivery), regulatory affairs consultancy and interim management, and over this time he has developed a solid reputation as an excellent consultant. Through his training programmes he has typically related to quality assurance, compliance, regulatory management and senior technical staff and he has also delivered Health and Safety training, and has an N.E.B.O.S.H. certificate (National Examination Board for Occupational Safety and Health).
Ciaran Brady

With over 20 years experience in Supply Chain/Materials Management in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare and Drinks industry. He has worked as Head, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics & Demand Manager, Materials Manager, Purchasing and Quality Manager, working with major multi-national companies. He was involved in two green field start up's and five worldwide plant consolidations. Working at a Senior Management level in Manufacturing & Distribution, he has extensive working knowledge of the highly regulated Pharmaceutical & Chemical Sectors in Ireland and throughout Europe.
He has worked extensively as private consultant with Pharmaceutical Wholesalers, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Logistics companies and assists these companies in all aspects of the Supply Chain Management and in particular how to maintain Regulatory Compliance. He has assisted clients in preparation for licence applications, inspections and remedial work after regulator inspections, and services including audits, mock recalls, SOP reviews and compliance improvements.
He also assists companies identify training requirements and designs and delivers tailor-made in house courses for client companies, located both in Ireland the UK and Europe.
Business Activities/Memberships
Former Director and Board member of the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management (IIPMM) and a member of the Institute for 18 years. Member of Supply Chain Institute, the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisers Ireland, (AIMCA) and a committee member of the Independent Consultants Group and a member of the Business Consultants Network. He lectured for three years on IIPMM Diploma course, and has lectured for the National Institute for Logistics and Transport. Currently lectures for the Irish Management Institute on its Supply Chain Management Program.
