This programme is ideally suited to individuals with good industrial experience and formal qualifications (trade, certificate ,diploma, or degree) in scientific, engineering, production, materials, operations management disciplines who are looking to move their career from declining manufacturing sectors into the Life Science sector - Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Biopharmaceutical, Diagnostics and Allied Supply, Subcontract and Service sectors. The program aims to combine classical career advisory and outplacement services with online learning supported by an industry expert. Students are guided in a very practical way to breakdown their existing skills and match these with life science manufacturers whose production technologies and processes have similarities to the student’s current manufacturing expertise. We then provide a suite of online learning which gives the students a greater understanding of the very stringent regulatory environment that exists in Life Science manufacturing along with providing training on various types of processes and equipment found in theses facilities. Students can complete most of the program in their own time (eLessons are available for 3 months) supported by a career advisory help desk.
